If there is one thing I love more than make up, its skincare. I am obsessed and I really mean obsessed. I thought why not turn my obsession into a little series of posts about my skincare must haves and essentials.
I have always been one of those people who cannot go anywhere without having my whole skincare routine in my bag. I will go and stay around my friends house and I will forget my make up, phone, house keys. I will always have my skin care with me, always! I vary my skin care depending on how my skin is feeling at that time. If I have a lot of dry skin in the winter I will probably use are more intensive moisturiser, whereas in the summer I will probably use something a lot lighter.
My favourite toner,
Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening toner
I really love Clarins skincare, everything I have tried has always worked really well for me. I have quite a few pores near my nose, after about a week of using this twice a day my pores were visibly reduced. Anything that reduces those pesky pores is a winner in my books. My skin can be very sensitive and will react to a lot of products I was a bit skeptical when I first tried this as whenever somethings says "gentle" on it I always find that my skin still finds a way to react to it. Not this though. My complexion and skin also looked a lot clearer and brighter. If you have skin which is sensitive and you want a more glowing complexion this s definitely the product for you.
What is you favourite toner?

YSL Rouge pur Couture 35
I really REALLY love autumn winter, I know it may sound like I thinking too far ahead, but after the 31st August I get fed up of shorts and cute summery dresses and want to wear my boots and fluffy jumpers. I also get really excited about things like Christmas, snow, sledging, but I get most excited about autumn winter make up (not surprising really as this is a beauty blog) I have been on the look out for the perfect red lipstick for I don't know how long. I went into Debenhams to take my little sister shopping, I just happened to be walking past the YSL counter and I saw this and I knew I had to have it!
The colour is a real true red, it is basically fire engine red! It is also has a slight shine to it which is always good in my books as me and matte lipsticks do not get on. However much I want to like them them they just dry my lips out and cling to all the dry patches. The formulation of this is so smooth it applies evenly and doesn't sit in the wrinkles on your lips. I would apply a lip liner before this product for peace of mind, so it doesn't migrate and end up somewhere you don't want it to. Plus the packaging, its just to die for even the box it comes in is so pretty.
There are only two down sides. One the price as I think £25 is a quite expensive for a lipstick, and two the fact that I have to use a brush to apply it with so it would not be the easiest thing to apply while I was out. Having said that though it lasted for 5 hours on my lips, this is way longer than all of my other lipsticks. I am so happy and when this runs out I will definitely be repurchasing it. The only other red lipstick I really like is Ruby Tuesday from Max Factor I wouldn't say it was a complete duplicate, but it is close.
Whats your favourite autumn winter lip colour?
lots of love

Back to school make up from the highstreet
In my experience school always comes around far too quickly, I have been off for a blissful 3 months and then BAHM I find out that I am starting sixth form tomorrow. How did that sneak up on me? The first thing that always goes through my mind is how should I do my make up. When I was about 13 and I started properly wearing makeup I would spend hours in front of the mirror thinking is this enough?, is this too much?, ugh what if I turn out orange and everyone laughs at me!. So I thought that I would do a post on natural make up that is suitable for school, from the high street. Wow that is a long title!
Eyes: Rimmel London Scandal eyes Retro Glam mascara- £6:99 (It is currently on offer at boots for £4:99) At my school you were not allowed to wear eye shadow, so I would always a volumising mascara that would make my lashes look fuller yet still looking like they were my lashes and I wasn't wearing fake ones. This mascara is amazing at catching every single lash and giving a really fanned out effect.
Face: Rimmel London Stay Matte powder- £3:99 from Boots. This powder is really good at keeping your make up in place so it lasts a lot longer, it is also quite light so stops your make up looking cakey. Plus it is great for if you are having your photo taken as it keeps your skin matte and aviods shinny circles.
Bourjouis Healthy Mix Serum- £10:99 from Superdrug. I LOVE this foundation it smells so good and has medium coverage so you have a nice cover of foundation yet you can still see you skin underneath so it looks natural.
Cheeks: Revlon photo ready cream blush in pinched- £7:99 from Superdrug. This blush is such a beautiful coral colour. The cream formula is also really good as it means that your blend it in with your fingers and it gives a very natural flush of colour.
Lips: Maybelline Baby Lips in Peach Kiss- £2:99 from Boots. These tinted lip balms are so great as they only give you a tiny bit of colour yet you still feel like you are wearing something. They are also good at moisturising your lips and making sure they are soft and smooth.
The price of all of these products comes to £21:96, Which isn't bad for a whole face of make up, I tried to pick things that are pocket money prices. If you have any back to school essentials please tell me I really enjoy finding new products.
See you soon....

Fine cup of tea- St Eval Tea Garden candle
There is nothing I love better than a cuppa when I wake up or need some time to relax. So when I saw this candle I actually let out a little squeal, it was my perfect scent. I knew I had to have it!
The smell is so beautiful and delicate, yet it fills the room. I love candles, but sometimes I feel like the scents are too artificial and after a while they give me a head ache. That is defiantly but the case with this candle. St Eval have my favourite range of scents, and I can't fault any of them. They also come in the most stunning containers, I have my eye on the apple and elderflower which comes in the most gorgeous little flower pot.
See you soon

Holiday post Singapore
I thought about doing another lifestyle post as I enjoyed writing the first one so much. I thought I would so one on my holiday so if you are going to Singapore and want some ideas of where to go or maybe you are like me and love having a nosy and want to see I am doing. This post is for you.
Here are a few if the pictures I have taken while I was out, I am really sorry about the quality as they were taken on my iPhone. Brace yourself.
We went to the beautiful botanic gardens. I am not usually the kind if girl that loves looking around gardens on holiday, to be honest I would rather be at the pool relaxing. They are so amazing though I recommend if you ever go to Singapore you should have a look. If it is good enough for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge it's good enough for me. Plus entry is free what more could you ask for...
Next we went to the world famous orchard road. One of the longest rows of shops and malls ever. Plus what makes its amazing is it has a Sephora, talk about retail therapy, but clothes are very expensive so we limited our spendings.
Lastly we went to one if my favourite restaurants ever Din Tai Fung. They do the most amazing dish which I am going to attempt to type as it is in Chinese and I know auto correct in the iPhone is good but it's not that good. They are little dumplings with soup inside them and they are truly addictive!

Technology
Okay I am currently sat thinking of a way to write this without getting too carried away and going into full on rant mode! My camera has broke and is now refusing to charge. Brilliant. Just what I need the day before I go on holiday. I won't be able to post while I am on holiday so if you want to know what I am getting up to you can check out my blogs Instagram: kosmetickaleidoscope. Sorry for my camera I will post it as soon as my camera is fixed even if it means that I am sat in some Internet cafe in Indonesia when I should be in the sun.
See you soon

Summer stunners part 1
I always struggle what to pack on holiday, I am the kind of gal who likes to duplicate and take about 6 blushers, 2 foundations and more. This year I am flying so I have to abide by pesky airline weight limits, and there is nothing more annoying than when you are just about to check in and the person before you is over the limit. We've all been there as they try to distribute the weight desperately while showing the contents of their case to the whole airport. Not cool.
Mascara- my favourite mascara that can take you from the day time to the night time. Thick and Fast by soap and glory, I love this mascara it gives you big long fluttery lashes, but can be built up to give really thick full lashes.
Foundation- I have a new found love for the Bourjois healthy mix serum, it has light to medium coverage and smells amazing, plus it lasts along time on my skin even with some sunscreen over the top if it.
Concealer- collection 16 hour, covers spots hides bags and blemishes what ever it is this hides it! The skin on my face is very sensitive to some sun creams and this makes me break out. Ugh, perfect because you know that when you get back from holiday everyone will want to see pictures and hear about what an amazing time you have, there is nothing worse than having a huge zit the size of France on your forehead.
Eye shadows- I take my MUA heaven and earth pallet it is so easy as all of the colours go together really well so I don't have to spend precious beach time thinking about what eye shadows I should wear and which ones go together.
Blusher, highlighter and skin finish- Mac light year, this product is so amazing in the summer as it gives a slight shimmer to the skin, but doesn't leave your face looking like a disco ball, because nobody wants that! The colours are all quite light so I think give a easy, natural holiday makeup look.
Lips- I always take two products on holiday a lip gloss/ Carmex for the day and a lipstick for the night. The lipstick I am taking is a Kate Moss Rimmel London one in the shade 16. This is my new favourite summer colour that I can't wait to wear with a bit of a tan.
This is a distilled version of what makeup I will be taking to Malaysia with me if you have any other recommendations of what I should include please tell me, I have a horrible feeling I have forgotten something .....
See you soon
