Winter Lipsticks- Topshop matte finish in Beguiled

I have been looking for the perfect wine colour lipstick for a while now, where ever I go though seems to be sold out. Which makes me sad. I went into Topshop as I had a few vouchers to spend plus I don't need a excuse to go in there. I was just wondering round looking at the bobble hats, when I saw the lipstick stand. And it all goes down hill from there! I have never bought a Topshop lipstick, but I have always heard good things about them. So I went over just you know to have a look.

Topshop have the most amazing range of wine coloured lipsticks to suit all skin tones. Most shops only had one or two and they were always too dark for me, so when I saw this I actually let out a little squeal. I know how sad. The texture of this lipstick is so smooth, it glides onto the lips. I found this pretty rare considering it is a matte lipstick, I find they can be quite waxy and difficult to apply. I wouldn't say this is the most matte lipstick I have ever tried, but I don't really mind.

This lipstick was £8 which I guess is probably high end of the high street price range. I am so glad spotted this as I was so tempted to by Rebel and Darkside by MAC which are also dark colours. It's definitely saved my purse some damage. Although it is nearly Christmas so I may still put them on my Christmas list!

Have you any other wine lipstick recommendations?

Lots of love

Autumnal nails

Without sounding really pathetic and stupid today I actually concurred one of my fear, of photographing my nails. I hate my nails to quote Mean Girls "my nail beds suck", but I only have my self to blame for this as I am a nail bittier. I always have been. I have done everything to try and stop, I have used that disgusting vile stuff you put on your nails so when you go to bite them you get a horrible taste in your mouth, but after a few weeks I became immune to the taste. I have worn gloves inside, got my friends to hit me every time they see me trying to bite my nails. I have no will power at all! I have always wanted to stop so less people would tell me disgusting facts like "biting your nails can weaken the roots of your teeth and cause you to have tooth damage" or grab my hands and go "your nails must really hurt", but these things worked as now I truly believe that I have stopped. Anyway onto what this post was actually about.

My absolute favourite nail polish is Barry M nail gelly nail polish in the colour Pomegranate. This colour is stunning, it like a deep red with slightly pinky tones mixed in with it. The formulation of all Barry M nail varnishes are really good especially for the price £3.99! Its so pretty, I also believe its one of those colours that would be quite flattering on quite a few skin tones. This is definitely my staple winter nail polish!

What is your favourite nail colour?

Midweek Saviours

I can't be the only one who gets to Wednesday and thinks "ugh I have got another two days till the weekend" also the fact that my A-levels are proving very stressful! So I have a bit of a mid-week meltdown. The only thing that calms me down and keeps me sane is my mid-week pamper evenings. I thought that I would share with you my favourite pamper products both high end and high street. Starting with the Cupcake face mask from Lush.

Now I am a teenager so typical to convention I get quite a few spots, which aren't the nicest. My skin isn't awful yet it is not completely smooth and blemish free. I have been looking for a face mask for oily spot prone skin for what feels like forever, my skin can be very sensitive and can react badly to new products as well, so finding a face mask that I liked and actually worked was proving pretty challenging. Until I was watching a Miss Glamorazzi video called October Favourites she was talking about how amazing this mask was and how it calms down her breakouts. Now I love Ingrid's (Miss Glamorazzi) videos and I really trust her recommendations as they are always so fantastic! It was at this point I knew I had to try it.

Ok I address this first it smells AMAZING I mean AMAZING. It smells like chocolate which is my favourite thing ever. It doesn't taste like chocolate though trust me! (how cool would that be if it was edible and good for your skin). I just take the mask apply liberally to my skin then in about 10 minutes I wash it off with warm water. Simple. I have noticed quite a difference in my skin, my skin is a lot smoother and I feel like I have had fewer spots I mean my skin still isn't perfect, but there is definitely a improvement. There are a few down falls though. This product doesn't have a very long shelf and although It will probably be long gone before then (you can see by the huge dent I have made in it) I would like it to not go off as quickly. That's it negatives over. I love this product and it had made a permanent spot in my midweek meltdown routine.

What the mask looks like on the hand
Have you tried the Cupcake mask? have you got any face mask recommendations?

see you soon
