Disappointing product

Charles Worthington Salon At Home Shine Booster

For me there is nothing worst than a product promising something that it doesn't deliver, we've all been there. That sinking feeling you get in the pit of our stomach after you have run home from boots waiting to try out this product that is suppose to be amazing when actually it's kind of a waste of money.

I have quite dull lack-lustre that looks dull and straw like (great). So when I was in boots browsing the Salon products stand I saw this and knew I had to have it! It is suppose to give you a dramatic shine and a glossy finish. It also says it has powdered diamonds in it. Now I love things that sparkle and we all know that diamonds do, even Rhianna  wrote a song about it so it must be true. I was so disappointed when I dried my hair and looked in the mirror and saw ABSOLUTELY no difference I was shocked, my hair looked heavier and duller than ever. When you pump it out on your hand there is a slight shimmer and glitter to the cream, I guess I thought that some of this would transfer on to my hair (not like that hair spray I used to buy when I was little form Claire's accessories that  would make your hair glittery, because no one wants that!) I think the reason i was most disappointed was because I have had fantastic Charles Worhtington products in the past such the "Intense Rescue Melting Balm" which I love and is one of my essentials. This cost £12.99 which I think is quite a lot, I will not be buying this again!

If you have any products that you would recommend I would love to hear about them

See you soon

Scents of the summer

Summer, sandy beaches, long days, the  distinctive smell of sunscreen, ah perfection! No wonder its my  favourite time of the year. I don't know if its just me, but for some reason in summer I always feel the weird desire to purchase perfume, I think it's the amazing duty free at the airport, damn you reasonable tax free prices! When I think of summer three perfumes spring to mind....

Vera Wang "Lovestruck"
I bought this in the duty free at Heathrow airport, and you would not believe how much I love this. I know that you should buy a perfume because you fall in love with the smell, but have you seen how beautiful this bottle is? Just look at it it's stunning! The notes of this fragrance are pink guava, tuberose, mandarin and lotus  blossom. I'm not a perfume expert but don't these all sound delicious. I bought the 100ml super size of this perfume and I love it! For 100ml it costs £62.00 on feelunique.com.

 Boss Orange Woman
My darling little sister bought this for my birthday last year, and I love it. When I smell this summer I get transported to the beautiful Cornish coast, it's that amazing. I don't think that it's that long wearing, but when I wear this I feel so summery and feminine. That to me is the sign of a good perfume. This perfume includes notes of crispy apple, bergamot and white peach. This is a very sweet scent, that I think smells almost fruity. For the 50ml it costs £41.00 on feelunique.com.

Benefit Laugh With Me Lee Lee
I take this perfume with me everywhere because of the metal packaging, this makes it so easy to chuck in your bag and go (ok I don't chuck it I place it, but that doesn't sound the same)  I wore this everyday of my holiday in Malaysia and it reminds me of all those fantastic memories. This includes notes of jasmine, citrus and Lilly blossom. This is the most powerful out of the three and lasts the longest. For 30ml it is £29.30 on the benefit website.

If you are looking for a new summer scents, I hope I have given you some ideas also if there are any you recommend I would love to know...

See you soon

Chanel nail polishes worth the price?

I am one of those people who always says "I will never ever spend over £10 on a nail polish no matter what the colour". That is mostly true, but there is one polish that is one of my only exceptions to that rule, enter Chanel.

The two products I have are the "beautĂ© des ongles" protective base coat and the nail colour in 531 "PĂ©ridot". Oh wow this colour is stunning! When I first picked it up I thought oh just another metallic green polish nothing special, boy I was wrong as I turned it towards the light it changed to an almost goldy bronze colour. I had never seen a colour like this before. I would say that with this product polish you need two coats to make it go opaque, but I would say that is pretty reasonable. This polish lasted on my nails for about 4 days which for a nail polish is quite an achievement! There was a bit of tip wear, but I guess that that is kind of understandable.

I have saved the best till last though, I love this base coat so much that I have ended up buying another one! For me that is amazing as I am one of those people who will love a product, but always think there is a better one out there so will keep trying to find a new one. This base coat dries so quickly and protects my nails from any of that annoying, unwanted staining. I would have to say this is the quickest drying nail product I have, now I can truly say I am a one base coat kind of gal.....

What do you think of Chanel's efforts, worth the splurge? Are there any other colours you would recommend to me.

See you later
